How to make it in the music industry

Most teens have dreams of being the next Britney Spears or Lars Ulrich, but little do they know that these people spend many years learning to sing and play their instruments

Lars Ulrich the drummer from Metallica spent much of his youth not hanging out with friends or watching TV, but listening to music and learning to play the drums, and his hard work and dedication is what made him one of the most successful drummers in the world today.

Most famous musicians and singers do not win a contest like American Idol and just become famous in 12 weeks, most musicians have to practice several hours every day and spend every night playing in local bars and clubs, then if they manage to make enough money most young bands will travel the country in a small van and play at bars across the country trying to make a name for themselves.

In the end most bands wind up wither in New York or Los Angeles, because this is where the music industry is the strongest, and if they have managed to make a name for themselves and create a good buzz for their bands maybe a record producer will give them a listen and decide to sign them to a contract. This does not mean they are going to be famous far from it.

Once a band gets a contract this usually means it gets even harder, the record label will keep you touring for as many as 2 years spent on a tour bus in the United States and Europe playing almost every night then getting back on the bus to go to the next show.

This is what life is like when you want to make it to the top, but if you want it bad enough, living out of a bus, eating your meals in truck stops and never getting any privacy will not be a problem for you.

This is no different than trying to be the best at anything, the best poker players did not wake up one day read a book on poker and become the best. They had to spend many years in back room poker games, and playing in casino poker rooms all the time, and losing thousands and tens of thousands of dollars along the way.

Eventually they become skilled in the game and learn the ins and outs and are then able to make some good money, but everyone no matter what it is you are trying to do has to pay their dues, it does not matter if you are trying to become a famous rock star, the poker player to win the most World Series of poker tournaments, the worlds best online layer of any Popular Casino Game or your dream is to own the most online casinos and sportsbooks.

Remember nothing worth having comes easy, if it is really worth having you will have to work heard to attain those goals, and with that heard work and some luck as well you will be able to attain your dreams of playing your own music in front of a packed arena full of screaming fans.
